Job Advert Summary

Reporting to the Electrical Foreman the successful candidate will provide back-up and support to the Electrician in order to assist in maintaining electrical installation so that no problems are experienced

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• One year experience in an Electrical workshop environment.
• The successful completion of a basic electricity and basic safety course will serve as an added advantage.

Primary Duties

• Transporting electrical equipment and tools, by carrying or pushing trollies with tools or equipment to work sites
• Assisting Artisan with general cable work by tracing and locating faulty cables, visually or using various testers, installing of new cables etc. Digging of trenches to install cables using spades and pick-axes.
• Identifying, handing over of hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
• General cleaning and lubricating tools using safety solvents. Good general housekeeping
• Relieving in the Electrical workshop store room as and when from time to time.
