The results that are reflected on this website are the results of the 2022 National Senior Certificate examination. The Statement of Results is available from 20 January 2023 at the school/exam centre where the candidate wrote. Some candidate’s results may be excluded from the results published on this website because of technical reasons. If a candidate’s results do not show, the candidate should please enquire at the centre where they wrote or district/provincial office. How Can I Get My Matric Results In 2022 By SMS? Using your smartphone, open the SMS section (SMS costs R3.00) In the SMS, write your examination number Send your exam number to 35658 (note that this number may change at any time). SMS fees are R3.00 (fees are subject to change). Once your Matric results are available, they will be sent to you How Can I Get My Matric Results On My Phone? Open the dial pad in your smartphone Enter *120*35659# (codes are subject to change) Please enter your personal information You will be able to access your Matric results once you have filled out the required information
How To Check Matric Results Online You can check out your Matric results online through the Department of Basic Education (DBE) website this way:
Visit the website of the Department of Basic Education (DBE) From the menu, click “Exam results” Click on the NSC exam results button Your exam number will be needed In case more information is needed, please provide it To begin searching, click the search button As soon as the results are available, you will see them Here are the NSC pass requirements, as per the DBE:
Admission to bachelor studies
Must obtain at least 40% for the candidate’s home language (this is compulsory); Must obtain at least 50% for the candidate’s four other subjects, excluding life orientation Must obtain at least 30% for the language of learning and teaching of the higher education institution; Must obtain at least 30% for one other subject; and Must pass at least six of the seven subjects.
Admission to diploma studies Must obtain at least 40% for the candidate’s home language (this is compulsory); Must obtain at least 40% for three of other subjects, excluding life orientation; Must obtain at least 30% for the language of learning and teaching of the higher education institution; Must obtain at least 30% for one other subject; and Must pass at least six of the seven subjects.Admission to higher certificate studies Must obtain at least 40% for the candidate’s home language (this is compulsory); Must obtain at least 30% for the language of learning and teaching of the higher education institution; Must obtain at least 40% for two other subjects; Must obtain at least 30% for three other subjects; and Must pass at least six of the seven subjects.
