Position Purpose:
- To safely transport cargo from one point to another using horse and trailer to ensure continuous flow of operations.
Position outputs:
- Obtain document for shift work
- Obtain checklist from ABM
- Perform daily tasks and record discrepancies
- Obtain shift norm from CC
- Report all incidents or accidents
- Continuously check vehicles for defects
- Check tonnage of cargo
- Sign on to the operating system (Navis)
- Follow on screen directives using RDT which generates the movement of Cargo
- Load cargo
- Acknowledge task complete at the end of the instruction cycle.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Matric with minimum of 2 years driving experience
- or Grade 10 with 3-5 years driving experience
- Must have Code EC drivers license
- Must have a valid PDP
- Transnet’s’ 6 weeks internal drivers course would be an added advantage
