The Unemployed Learner Warehouse Learnership program at CCBSA offers learners the chance to develop key competencies within the logistics sector.

The position is available in various regions across South Africa, specifically in Gqeberha (Eastern Cape). The learners will be directly supervised by the Training Controller or Team Leader: Warehouse, ensuring that they receive the right guidance throughout their journey.

The learners will complete the National Certificate in Freight Handling (NQF 3), a qualification that will equip them with the essential skills for a successful career in logistics and warehousing.

During the program, they will be exposed to both practical and theoretical learning experiences, making them well-rounded professionals in the field.

Tasks
As part of the learnership, the successful candidates will engage in the following tasks:

• Gaining an integrated grounding in Freight Handling, both practically and theoretically
• Developing teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Maintaining and enhancing the level of service expected by customers
• Understanding key business principles contributing to economic growth and social development
• Communicating effectively (reading, writing, and speaking) in a distribution environment
• Receiving stock into the warehouse and maintaining stock balances
• Safely delivering stock to customers
• Complying with legal requirements, organizational policies, and procedures for transportation of goods
• Performing administrative functions related to stock receipt and delivery
• Ensuring that stock is packed and stored in the correct areas
• Picking, packing, and moving stock to minimize damage
• Recording stock movement in the stock management system
• Adhering to Occupational Health and Safety legislation and procedures
• Ensuring a safe and clean working environment by maintaining internal and external housekeeping standards
• Promoting customer service and satisfaction levels

Qualifications
To be eligible for the Unemployed Learner Warehouse Learnership at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy (passed with at least 40%)
• Two South African languages passed with at least 40%
• A Diploma in Logistics or Operations Management is advantageous
• The learner should not have previously completed the same qualification/learnership at another company
